Hey Debaters, those of you who listened to our special edition That's Debatable cram jam already know that my pick of the week was Lupe Fiasco's new mixtape, Enemy of the State: a Love Story. This is a great mixtape from one of everybody's favorite, with some classic remix material like Wayne's Fireman and some more unique track material like Radiohead's National Anthem. Definitely give this mixtape a shot: Lupe fans won't be disappointed and the unfamiliar won't be either.
On November 15th, I told everyone to tune into AMC's "The Prisoner" remake of the 1960's British series of the same name. The six part series ran three nights in a row in two hour blocks. This was the first problem. Although they were able to do this with "Roots" and gain a significant building audience, this miniseries was way to short. It was over in three days, not allowing the show material to sink in for a week before continuing the story. The next problem, the series was edited and written strangely. The episodes did not flow well together and I was often confused about what was happening from one scene to the next. Although the entire series is suppose to built around a mystery, they need to make the mystery compelling instead of confusing. I did not care about if Caviezel's character got back to New Your or not. The only reason to continue watching is to learn what the village was. So it's a dream in someone's mind, wow, real original. I can't blame the actors, they did the best they could with what they were given. I can blame the writers and direction: too confusing to care.

Check out this amazing piano rock band out of Connecticut. Their harmonies are Maroon 5 caliber, and they layer sounds as well as Miike Snow. The blending of the two styles makes Tidal Eyes more addicting that any albums of the previously mentioned. The melodies build from soft to powerful ballads discussing themes from love to the wrongly accused. Songwriter, Coley O'Toole started writing at an early age, and the final cuts have garnered positive comparsions to the classical "royal" rock band, Queen.
